In February of 2011 two friends set out to create a company that specialized in saving a piece of American history. The Midwestern states have a long standing history with agriculture, as agriculture makes new strides older buildings and equipment become outdated and run down. This is especially true with the iconic barn that has long dotted the Midwestern landscape. As equipment becomes larger the old red and white barns are no longer as useful to today’s farmers and fall into disarray or are torn down and burned to make room for new buildings. At Midwestern Barns we recognize the need to modernize to feed a constantly growing global population, but also realize the inherent beauty of the old barns. That is why we seek to preserve this part of Midwestern history by helping to make the barn a beautiful part of your home.
